This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We're requesting picnic tables and benches for our garden area in the primary playground! Right now our students lug their indoor classroom tables and chairs outdoors every time they're having a culinary experience in the garden. They're so confident and positive as they lift their tables 4 students at a time, each taking one side and trying not to drag it along the floor. Taking our learning outdoors is a frequent experience around here - so we want to make outdoor seating a permanent fixture! With this project, we'll be able to create a beautiful and functional space for taking learning experiences outside that doesn't require students to be moving and shifting their classroom space to do so!
