This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
It is very hard to work at your best when you are uncomfortable. Our classroom is in the newer side of the school building with central cooling and heating unfortunately based on calendar regulations our air conditioners cannot be turned on until June. In most new building the windows are not allowed to be opened and are sealed shut so this causes a challenge because we can not open the windows to help regulate the air temperature in the room. This is why we are asking for fans to help keep us cool and get by during these warm days.
Being comfortable helps students focus and pay attention and create successful learning gains.
My students have been such champs working through the discomfort but we have a way to go until June. The classroom is a second home for my students and although the school year is nearing the end I want their motivation and focus on the valuable content they are learning.
