This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I’m so lucky to work with a group of energetic, creative, and curious students who are always eager to explore and try new things. What I love most about them is their enthusiasm for learning through play, and how they work together to make sure everyone feels included. This project will provide them with a variety of recess toys and games—both for indoor and outdoor use—that will make a big difference in their learning and overall school experience.

The specific items I’m requesting include interactive board games, outdoor sports equipment, and imaginative play sets.

These tools will allow my students to build teamwork, practice social skills, and learn problem-solving strategies, all while having fun. I’m especially excited about adding structured outdoor games to help them burn off energy in a healthy way, as well as indoor games to encourage cooperation on days when we can’t go outside.

My goal for this project is to make recess a time when students can recharge, feel supported, and grow in ways that complement what they learn in the classroom. With these new resources, I hope to create a play environment that’s both enriching and inclusive, allowing all students to enjoy, learn, and thrive.
