My Students

I have many ESOL, African American, Hispanic, and white students in the low country of South Carolina. We are a Title I school where the students receive 100% free breakfast and lunch. It is like a large family multiple generations attending this school. The school, without doubt, is a strong pillar of the community.

I have an energetic room full of happy, healthy, bright, eager, and willing students where our philosophy is we are kind first and right second.

We have developed a great relationship and call ourselves a family where we always have each others' backs.

We have a broad spectrum of learning levels from very high to very low. They keep my on my toes thinking and creating to reach them all with passion and enthusiasm. I absolutely LOVE my kids!

My Project

Buying this game is something I would love to do, but I need at least 5 games for everyone in the room to be able to play at the same time. If our classroom had this, it would be an incredible opportunity for the students that could be available over and over, year after year.

In the days of technology infested learning, students are desperate for hands-on learning that is fun, interactive, engaging, challenging, and intentional.

Shut the Box is just that type of game and the students will LOVE IT!
