My kids are 7th and 8th grade students from a farming community in the Midwest. They are creative, talented, hard-working kids with a work ethic that goes far beyond the classroom and is embedded in their daily lives from a young age.
As with all classrooms, not everyone learns at the same pace or in the same way.
My students thrive on real-life experiences that show how learning is relevant to their future career path, whether they choose to work in agriculture, retail, education, or engineering!
My Project
Students are motivated when learning is fun. I love to use games, escape room activities, and other ideas to keep students engaged.
My students need Plickers cards, answer buzzers, and other items to help make learning and assessment fun and exciting!
The Plickers cards are a fun way to do a quick assessment in class. Students enjoy the game-like aspect of doing assessment this way. The buzzers will be used for group review or learning games. The dry erase markers are for creating games and sharing ideas. I added the headphone splitters to allow students to listen to books in small groups. The storage bag will help keep my students organized when they are creating projects to show their learning. I also added batteries for the game buzzers so we can use these items all year long. I love making learning fun for my students!
