Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

As a new classroom we have established certain daily routines. Breakfast, Morning routine and Get Ready to Learn Yoga are the first things we do to start our day, but as our day progresses learning gets more challenging due to the lack of supplies and materials that we still need.

Our school is located in a high poverty area in the Bronx.

Our classroom consist of six, very sweet, children with Autism. They love to play, listen to music and play on the school computer. Most of the students love to play with puzzles, cars and teacher made games such as fun folders and matching puzzles.

My Project

With the requested materials my students will be able to have a variety of puzzles, art supplies, and games that will help them develop more academically and socially as well as developing their visual performance and their motor skills. With these materials my students will have a good selection of activities during choice time, skill based centers and play based centers.

I believe these materials will greatly benefit each and every one of my students in ways we can not even imagine, they will help them develop skills that are essentials for their everyday lives as well as their academic growth and will change their lives for the better.
