Help me give my students understanding of how a spreadsheet program works by playing "Battleship Classic Board Game." Also, for my Entrepreneurship students, how to create a product, give it a purpose and name, then pitch it.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My Business Information Management students are struggling with learning spreadsheet basics because of the row/column confusion. I heard from other teachers that playing Battleship helps students gain a much better understanding of the rows and columns in spreadsheet programs. In addition, if they gain the knowledge of being "exact" with their rows and and columns, their formulas will be correct. Battleship has to have an exact "hit" using rows and columns. This will be fun for students, as well as, a learning experience.
The "LEGO for Education" Spike Essential Kit would be grand for my Entrepreneurship students as they use it to build a "product" then name it, give it a purpose, and pitch it to the class.
Students need a variety of experiences in creating and critically thinking how a product would be useful. I actually was in a LEGO for Education workshop where I got to learn this process and I desperately want to bring it back to my students.
