Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Ensuring a supportive and inclusive learning environment for disabled preschoolers is paramount to their growth and development. Our classroom includes students with a variety of needs and disabilities, including students with autism, down syndrome, learning disabilities, ADHD, and bilingual needs. Different sensory items help our students remain calm and focus on the daily lessons. We aim to create a learning space that meets our students' sensory and social-emotional needs. In our classroom, every child is unique, and we strive to provide tailored support to meet their individual needs. However, many of our students face challenges in sensory processing, which can impact their ability to engage fully in learning activities. That's why we're embarking on a project to enhance our sensory area with specific items designed to address these needs. These toys engage multiple senses, providing a dynamic learning environment that enhances cognitive, social, and emotional skills and significantly improves our students' well-being, a crucial aspect of their overall development.
