My Project
I am looking to fund some new playground equipment for my class and the other classes that share recess with us. Here at our school, almost all of our students are dual language learners. Research shows that students learn new things 10X faster when you do it through play. What better way to work on the students' language skills through games on the playground?
We have been playing games like lava monster, tag, hide and seek and Mr. Fox what time is it all school year.
However, the students are starting to become bored with the games that we have been playing. I am hoping to fund some new resources for this vital time during our day to ensure that their oral language skills continue to grow and develop.
This is where you come in, I am hoping to fund new playground equipment; balls for games like Kickball, Basketball and Soccer, new jump ropes and a new parachute that can have space for more that 30 students so I don't have to worry about anyone being left out.
My goal for this project is to ensure students continue to challenge themselves through the use of their voices and to grow and learn problem solving skills while they play during recess.
