We have used this whiteboard for numerous projects and in many ways. We recently were doing a research project. Our projects were really fun and students were able to have a great visual so that they did not miss any pieces to the project.\r\n\r\nWe also use this easel for writing. Many of our students continue to make backwards letters. The students were so excited to receive the new materials to support their learning growth in literacy, specifically in phonics. Students need to be able to decode and encode in first grade. In other words, we teach them to read and write together so that the new concepts are practiced and reinforced. \r\n\r\nFor our phonics program, we are concentrated on helping students create words and know how to move letters around to make new words. My next classroom projects focus on incorporating science and math areas into our classroom for further learning and exploration. Each student stopped at passport control to collect their sticker before entering the country. Sometimes it is hard to get materials that are country specific to East Africa and this was provided to them. Also, many times teachers have to purchase their own supplies.
