My wonderful students come from a variety of cultural backgrounds. Some have only lived in the United States for a couple of years. My students are/have been exposed to the "real world" and have witnessed a lot of trauma in their young lives.
They are a sweet crew who are very supportive of each other despite their very diverse backgrounds.
Each of my students are willing to lend a hand to help out a buddy. Our school is a Title I school and many of their parents or grandparents work multiple jobs to put food on the table each night. Despite all of their hardships they still arrive to school with smiles on their faces ready for a new day. My students are an energetic group who love a good brain break and a chance to move about. We love to have fun!
I would love to give my students soccer balls to play with during recess. Our limited playground equipment is often boring and repetitive. I would like my students to be able to work on ball control and team work during playtime.
My students love to kick the soccer ball during recess but at the moment we only have one.
It would be wonderful if we had a few more soccer balls so they can all play smaller games at the same time. There are often times that too many kids want to play with the one soccer ball and it always leads to arguments or hurt feelings.
