The students in my classes are ambitious and hard-working. They have chosen to participate in a Spanish DLI program, meaning they spend half of every day learning in Spanish, even though they are native English speakers. They push themselves to learn new and difficult things every single day!
Eager and enthusiastic, my students continually push themselves to do better.
As ambitious learners of a new language, they need materials that provide visual support and help them focus in class.
My Project
As Spanish learners, my students are expanding their vocabulary every day. Many important, every day words are missing from their Spanish vocabulary. Learning those words becomes easier and more fun when playing a favorite game like Spot It!
The most difficult concepts to learn should be taught in a way that is modern, fun, and exiting!
The exciting math concept to learn in third grade is multiplication. Within this fun and exciting new realm of math exist new concepts, strategies, and vocabulary. To help my students learn to use and model multiplication strategies, I want to use the popular pop its to reinforce strategy use.
