Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This project aims to create a dynamic and engaging learning environment where my students can explore literacy and play through hands-on activities. By integrating Magna-Tiles and uppercase and lowercase letter stamps, it offers students a unique opportunity to develop their letter recognition skills while engaging in open-ended, child-led play. The tactile experience of using letter stamps deepens their understanding of uppercase and lowercase forms, while Magna-Tiles serve as a creative medium for building structures and practicing social-emotional skills through play. These tools make learning interactive and fun while supporting fine motor skill development and promoting collaboration among peers.
The materials I am requesting will have a significant impact by enabling my students to explore letters and language in a playful and meaningful way.
They will learn to recognize and differentiate letters and participate in activities that integrate literacy with engineering and art. My goal is to foster a love for learning, encourage independent exploration, and support collaborative problem-solving through these materials.
My students are special because of their endless curiosity and creativity. Many face challenges outside the classroom, yet they approach every learning opportunity with enthusiasm and a desire to succeed. They thrive when given hands-on, interactive resources that allow them to discover and create in their own unique ways. With these materials, I can provide a learning experience that celebrates their individuality, builds their confidence, and empowers them to reach new heights in literacy and beyond.
