Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our students attend an urban public school with over 730 children. Ninety-six percent receive free or reduced-price lunch. My students come from diverse backgrounds, but when we are in the classroom, we work together as one. They are very eager to learn, and they deserve the best of the best!
My students are happy, motivated, kind, and energetic!
They are wonderful, kind, and sweet children. Despite the challenges my students face, they come from homes that support them and want to help them succeed. Some of my students are struggling with letter recognition and simply need some extra resources to help them learn.
My Project
In PreK, students continuing to develop fine motor skills is very important. Playdough activities are an excellent opportunity for children to gain these skills, along with a creative outlet for play. This donation will give us the ability to have playdough building time. It will help me teach our children how to recognize and make letters for their name, number recognition, and alphabet. It will also teach them to use their imagination to create. My PreK are very curious and love to build and create with playdough. This will facilitate many fun learning activities with students in my classroom. Thank you for supporting these truly amazing children!
