This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students need to strengthen their fine motor skills. I want them to practice this with playdough and fun design tools to make learning fun. So many students are growing up using technology instead of doing hands-on projects to strengthen their hands. Students are having trouble with holding their pencils and writing. With the playdough, they will be using the tiny muscles in their hands to build and create new things. This will help them to use their imagination as they tap into their creativity. Second graders at my school don't get art classes until fourth grade. Having this project funded would help with our soft start mornings and free time or give them an activity for rainy days or even hot days when we aren't allowed outside for playtime.
