My Project

I teach brilliant, creative, and resilient first graders at a culturally rich but materially divested Title I school. My students bring curiosity, personality, and big emotions to the classroom every day — and they deserve joyful, meaningful opportunities to play, learn, and grow. As a teacher committed to cultivating genius through play, I’m seeking support for toys, games, fidgets, visual aids, and social-emotional learning books that will enrich our classroom environment. These trauma-informed tools will help my students build friendships, practice self-regulation, and explore their identities with confidence. Whether through calming fidgets, imaginative play, or stories that reflect who they are, each resource supports both academic and emotional development. In a world that often overlooks schools like ours, I believe joy is a radical and necessary act of learning — and with your help, we can ensure our classroom is a place where every child thrives.
