My Students

My students are such an amazing group of little learners. They are curious and adventurous as they explore the wonderful world of second grade. Their smiles and laughter make me the luckiest teacher. My students come from all cultures, areas, and various incomes for an opportunity to learn and thrive within the district. My energetic second grade students enter the classroom ready to learn, discover, and explore.

Most of our students come from low-income areas.

Our students face many challenges both in and out of the classroom, but despite the many challenges they face, they walk into our classroom every day full of life and ready to learn.

Each child in my classroom absolutely loves learning, although the method and environment in which they learn best vary greatly. We incorporate a variety of learning strategies, group work, and alternative seating and learning options to ensure that each student meets their full potential.

My Project

Our students want to have the ability to be creative. We need clay, please. Our students enjoy doing many different projects that involve clay, paint, crafts, etc. I am requesting some air-drying clay for the students in our class to use. I want my students to have the opportunity to discover a creative, fun talent they didn't know they had. It's important for children to discover their artistic abilities and creative talents. Please help the kids enjoy something different during the day!

Air dry clay is an amazing art medium which helps the students' sensory and cognitive development.
