Many of the students who will benefit from these toys have communication and play skills that are behind their peers. These toys will give my students something fun to engage in while learning new skills. Play is essential to student's learning and growth. New toys with a specific goal in mine will help engage students who are delayed in language development.

These toys will be used during speech-language therapy sessions to engage preschoolers who have limited communication skills. The toys were carefully chosen to have both high engagement, repetitive actions, and turn taking exchanges. Students will develop requesting skills, peer relationships, and expand vocabulary through the play-based therapy sessions with these toys. These toys are also all portable and easily transported between classrooms.
My students are growing by leaps and bounds each day. They are working incredibly hard to communicate with each other and the world around them. By being engaged with toys, we are working hard while making the hard work fun. Play develops language skills in the most natural environments for my students. These toys will only aid in the students growth. Learning should be fun!
