I teach an amazing group of inner city children. I have a classroom of mostly BOYS! They are witty and resourceful!

My Project

Foundational to student learning is student engagement. Just how do we get the young mind to gleefully engage? I say there oughta be a whole lotta of fun! I plan to use the modeling dough in activities across the curriculum. From earth models, mixing colors, to fractions, alphabets and crescent moons. I plan to start the school year off with Wikki Stix ant farms! Did you know that Wikki Stix can be used to make just about anything? Support to this project will provide manipulatives, solicit movement, spur creative engagement and augment phonic skills.
