This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My early childhood classroom is composed of 21 amazing Spanish/English bilingual learners. My classroom lacks many of the materials and supplies that support the artistic, social emotional, and pre-literacy development of young learners. Our school district has a high number of children living in poverty and has a diverse population of students from different backgrounds. Our school has a large number of English language learners and students who receive free or reduced-price school lunch. Please support my classroom by helping my students have access to classroom materials and supplies that will enhance their educational experiences.

My Project

My 21 amazing bilingual learners need a variety of classroom materials to enhance their early development. Children learn while they play and benefit from hands on materials that engage all their senses. My early childhood classroom need people and face shapes templates, dough rollers, and classroom shelves for organization.

We need new classroom shelves in order to organize our classroom materials and play areas.

We also need color copy paper to use for communication with parents and families. Every month we use the color paper for our parent newsletter and special classroom announcements in Spanish and English. The people and face shape templates will enhance Social Emotional learning and All about Me themes. Students will use these templates to learn about themselves, their feelings, and how they are all unique and special. The dough rollers will complete our play dough center. All these classroom materials will enhance our learning, classroom environment, and facilitate communicating with families. Thank you for your support.
