Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kindergartners are 23 of the smartest, artistic and loving kids. They come to school each day eager to learn new things.
My students love to learn through hands-on activities which is certainly developmentally appropriate for their little minds.
My school is a Title 1 school and all of my students receive free breakfast and lunch. Most of my students are English Language Learners.
My kinders are particularly curious and enthusiastic about science and technology. Each day my students learn how to interact with one another through social interactions and collaboration. They are learning literacy and math concepts through the use of manipulatives!
My Project
The light table and manipulative center are great tools to encourage imagination, increase attention, and spark learning.
The light table is a versatile tool that enhances opportunities for science, math, literacy, and writing.
The light table and manipulative set will be a perfect place for high level thinking, experimenting, and conversing. Students will also be able to use it to refine their fine motor skills. Students will also get to use our Magna-Tiles to create and build new things. The opportunities for learning are endless with the light table and manipulative center. Both items would make a great addition to our kindergarten classroom!
