My students need dramatic play items to develop social and emotional wellness!
This project expired on December 7, 2018.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My students live in a rural community of about 2,000 residents. They may not realize it yet, but they are growing and learning in a very supportive and tight-knit community that cares about each of them.
In my classroom, I have 18 kindergartners of varying social, emotional, and academic needs.
They are creative, clever, and spontaneous! They have so much excitement for school and learning; it makes my job so enjoyable! My students are unique individuals with unlimited potential. It is my job to ignite their excitement for learning so they can reach their full potential!
Dramatic play is an essential component of early childhood development. The items for this project will be used to set up a variety of dramatic play items including a grocery store, pizza shop, and home living area.
When children engage in dramatic play they are learning important social and emotional skills including empathy as they play various characters.
Students who get the opportunity to role play learn essential social skills such as turn taking and sharing. They will also learn valuable financial literacy skills through playing with money as both consumers and entrepreneurs.
Thank you for checking out our project and helping us learn vital life skills through play!
