My Students

Our students and families are the heart of our school! It is an exceptional school with a diverse population both ethnically and socioeconomically. My classroom is a home away from home for my students and I know that some days they spend more time with me, then they do with their own families. I am dedicated to making sure they feel comfortable, relaxed, and ready to learn everyday! I want them to have the tools and resources they need to explore and create deeper understandings of the world around them. They grow so much in this first year of school, and my number one priority is helping them to love school, and giving them confidence as they start their educational journey!

My Project

The items in my Donors Choose Project will give many opportunities for my Kindergarteners to learn through play and imagination! The small animal items will be used in conjunction with my block center to enrich student creations and increase vocabulary. The house center items, such as the baby dolls and dollhouse, will give students the ability to connect home and school life, and practice positive social skills. The mini flashlights will be added to our independent reading time to increase engagement and focus! Who wouldn't love to turn the lights down low and read a book by flashlight!? All of these items will help my Kindergarten students to connect their learning to the real world and take them to the next level!
