My students need writing skill folders, games, STEM Challenger Kit, and dice for engaging and challenging educational games and activities to help drive their learning.
I teach 3rd grade for an elementary school in the Fond du Lac School District. We have students ranging from 4K-5th grade and have a total of around 600 students altogether. We are one of three 3rd grade classes in our school. I have 19 students in my classroom of all abilities and interests.
My students are eager to learn.
They continually look for new avenues to learn. I believe these games will give them another motivating factor to seek out information and continue their path on becoming life long learners.
My Project
These games will be used to help the students in reading, writing, and math. It will give the students an opportunity to extend what we are learning in the classroom in a fun and engaging way. Students will have the chance to use these materials during free time, rotations during classes, and during WIN (What I Need).
Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning, but for children play is serious learning.
Students will use these games to reinforce concepts that have been learned, learn new concepts, challenge themselves and others, and give them another engaging way to learn.
