My Project

Hello! I am a school-based speech-language pathologist. I love my job and working with some of the most awesome, unique students. I currently provide services to two separate school buildings. I serve students in kindergarten through second grade. My students range greatly in their abilities, from speech/language impairment to multiple disabilities.

Play-based speech therapy is an evidence-based practice that helps students make real-life connections while developing their speech, language, and social skills.

The items in the project will assist my students in targeting their current speech/language goals. It will also help them generalize their language skills into conversational speech. I currently serve students in three different self-contained classrooms. The toy items and books will help improve vocabulary development, requesting, and social communication.
