Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

I teach kindergarten in a Title I school. My students come from varied backgrounds and with varied skill levels.

We get very little early childhood money, which we have to spread out among three classrooms. The money that we do get does not cover the little extras that are important for a good early childhood program.

We could use durable sand toys that will, hopefully, last till the end of the school year. The toys that our district provides rarely last until winter break.

Play is a vital part of the kindergarten curriculum. It promotes imagination, language skills, cooperation, problem solving, self expression, and it is how kindergartners learn the best!
