My Project

At Bayshore Middle School, our Esports team is growing stronger each season, with students actively competing in *Super Smash Bros. Ultimate* and *Rocket League*. Right now, we're working with the equipment we have, but we know that access to Nintendo Switch Pro Controllers would make a huge difference. Our students are already deeply committed to staying after school to practice, strategize, and support one another, but using older or less responsive controllers can limit their performance. With upgraded equipment, our players will be able to sharpen their skills and compete on a more level playing field, helping them reach their full potential in matches.

When we told the students that we were working on a project to request Pro Controllers, they were thrilled.

One student immediately said, “That would change everything!” Another asked if they could help write the proposal. Their reactions showed just how invested they are in the team and how excited they are by the idea of having tools that reflect their dedication. Even imagining the possibility has boosted their motivation and pride in representing Bayshore.

As we continue our current season, our team is focusing on developing better communication and game awareness. Students are analyzing match footage, discussing strategy, and working in small groups to refine specific skills. With the support of donors, the addition of Pro Controllers would elevate this experience, allowing our players to play with the precision and comfort needed to take their game to the next level. We are excited about what is ahead and incredibly grateful for the opportunity to grow together as a team.
