Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Having brand-new, sparkling PE equipment for students to use during recess and unstructured blocks of the day will help support students to build relationships and learn by playing with peers.
The current PE equipment at our site is minimal and archaic at best -- having a cart full of new materials specifically for the 4th grade students will minimize conflicts at recess and allow for students to maximize their play time.
Lastly, having these materials would mean the ability to have an ad-hoc field day, play materials for picnics/playdates, and would offer consistent choices for students to build physical stamina and kinesthetic skills.
