This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting Play-Doh, crayons and snacks for my autistic students.

The Play-Doh, playsets, and tools will both be tactile stimulation and help increase fine motor skills.

The crayons will be used to support fine motor functioning.

These items will be able to be used multiple times and are easily transportable. Please help make my therapy sessions more fun and engaging! The food (cereal and chips) will be used to feed students when they are hungry since they do not always eat during breakfast/lunch.

These toys can help my students socially interact with their peers and other adults. For example, kneading, rolling, flattening and punching the Play-Doh provides a chance to relieve stress and reduce feelings of anxiety or worry which can lead to students with autism, and other special needs, feeling frustrated and acting out because of these feelings.
