This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In speech therapy, I like to keep the students engaged with toys and activities they enjoy the most! Play-based therapy is the most effective with younger students. They can expand their language skills and social skills through this approach.

The students make the most progress when they are engaged and happy during speech sessions!

With these materials, I can

target a variety of goals such as body parts, labeling, turn-taking, requesting, etc. The possibilities are endless with Mr. Potato Head, building toys, and barn sets! Older students, often enjoy playing with building toys and drawing after they have completed their work in speech therapy.
