Play Based Preschool

Help me give my students materials to improve social emotional, literacy, communication, and fine motor skills!

My Project

Due to COVID-19, our preschool students have missed out on critical developmental skills. This includes social emotional skills such as how to interact with peers, share, and take turns, pre-academic skills such as counting, letters, and shapes, communication skills such as expressive and receptive language, and fine motor skills such a using a pincer grasp or a 3 pointed grasp. They need the opportunity to learn these skills through play. The dress up materials will allow my preschool students to learn critical skills through engaging in play with peers and adults. The books will give students access to early literacy activities. The pretend toys such as the cash register, ambulance pop up, dentist set, and firetruck pop up will let students develop play and narrative skills. They will learn to engage in pretend play with others and increase social emotional development. The stickers, pop its, and prize box toys will be motivation for students to improve behavior and positive social skills.
