Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach at a Title I school where almost all of my students come from low-income households. Many of my students come from single-parent households as well as one hundred percent of my students receive free or reduced-price lunches. What I love most about my students is that they come to school every day, ready and eager to learn.
My classroom is in need of storage bins to store our play based centers!
These plastic storage bins and lids will be a great addition to our play based learning centers. My students love being able to play during free choice center time. These storage bins will help organize our centers so students are able to choose the center they'd like to play with, grab the storage bin and go play!
Play based learning has many benefits and skills that are learned while children are playing. These benefits and skills include: opportunities for growth in all areas of child development, promotes creativity, fine motor skill practice, communication skills, language skills, and so much more!
These storage bins will help guide my students to positive learning experiences for years to come.
