My Project

I would love to give my students some fun centers and tools to keep learning hands on and engaging. In a world where learning is becoming more and more centered around computers I think it is important to give students, especially the younger grades, a fun and creative outlet.

Help me give my students tools that will encourage them to learn in a exciting way!

We will use the measuring cups and food coloring to learn how to measure volume and capacity, we will use the CVC Pop-it as a fun center that encourages students to slow down and sound out each letter, the lights will be used as a classroom management tool to remind students what volume level their voice should be at, the door mesh holder will allow them to keep their desks free and clear of their drinks so we don't have any spills, and finally the Connect Four and UNO will teach kids how to use strategies and counting in a way that don't even realize they are learning.

Keeping students engaged and encouraged is a difficult task when their attention spans are still being developed. So if there is any way that I can teach my students and keep it fun, then, that sounds like a great plan to me!!
