My Students

My students are eager, active learners who aren't afraid to work hard and appreciate having the tools and supplies to do quality work. Unfortunately many of our school families lack the resources to provide those tools and supplies.

My students represent a diverse population of immigrants, refugees, and families from all over the globe who have come to America for a better life.

We also have many students whose families have been in this country for many generations. Our school mascot is The Bulldogs. Bulldogs are tenacious. They never give up. We try hard to instill this character into our students.

My Project

My students want to participate in a terrific program called Link-Up which was created by the educational staff at Carnegie Hall in New York City, NY. Our local symphony orchestra has partnered with Carnegie Hall to offer Link-Up to students in this area. We have been accepted into the program but do not have the recorders we need to participate fully.

Fifty recorders would allow each and every one of my fourth graders to fully participate in the Link-Up program and actually go to our symphony hall in May and play a concert with one of the world's finest orchestras.
