My students are interested in growing plants. They know the importance of plants in our environment but do not know much about the growth process.
I would like to set up propagating and seed starter stations in my classroom for students to learn more about growing plants.
I plan on arrange a field trip to the horticultural classroom and greenhouse at our local vocational education center. Then we will tour a local nursery and greenhouse.
After the plants have started rooting, we will transplant some of them to pots to distribute around the community. I will let the students decide where to take the plants (office buildings, clinics, city hall ... ).
