My Project

In kindergarten, we spend much of our time in science talking about living things and their needs. We have some plants in our classroom, and we also have a red eared slider turtle. I would love to get Leo (our turtle) a larger, more appropriate tank that he can grow in to. I would also love to add the fish tank with the hydroponic garden to talk about the relationship between the two types of living things! We would be able to show how the fish waste provides nutrients for the growing plants, and that the growing plants help to keep the fish water clean and healthy. It would also be amazing to grow vegetables hydroponically that might be new for students to see and try!
