Plants and Music for Pre-K

Help me give my students instrument set, xylophone, letters, and succulents, opportunities to experience music and add some nature and plants to the room.

My Students

My school is located in Harlem, New York City. There are four Pre-K rooms at this location. Three Pre-K rooms are General Education. One Pre-K Room is a Special Class Integrated Setting (SCIS). I am the Special Educator of this room requesting learning tools to enhance their learning experiences. Here we bring the outdoors inside and are influenced by natural elements. Items such as pine cones, acorns, leaves, shells or rocks made for an interesting learning environment.

My Project

Please help me to enhance the learning of the classroom with this DonorsChoose.org Project. Adding plants and musical opportunities for children to explore during Center Time will give more choice to the students. Nature and green plants to the classroom is calming- it is zen and peace to a student that needs to reset. Music and the deep sounds of a xylophone are an opportunity for a child to focus on a task and explore the sounds individually. These learning items our wonderful opportunity for young student to self-direct and explore their classroom environment. Thank you much for considering.
