This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This school year I am fortunate to have a special group of children that are kind, friendly and lovable. I’d love to create a project that continues promoting kindness by planting seeds and growing a beautiful pot of flowers to gift to all the mommies in our classroom. I am requesting Zinnia seeds, potting soil, and 32 oz. cups (to be used for pots) to grow a beautiful bouquet of perennials that will be ready to go home by Mother’s Day.
I’ve done this project in previous years and the end result after planting seeds and tending to the individual cups is a BEAUTIFUL and LUSH pot of flowers.
I am also requesting pink tassels for the book markers we will be creating and pink paper bags that will be used to take home other student made Mother’s Day gifts. In addition, we are requesting a 3 tier rolling metal cart to place the cups in and transport them in and out of the classroom to water and receive sunlight.
