My Project
I am requesting science-related resources such as seeds, soil, and potting tools, to implement a series of language experience lessons focused on the environment using books related to the topic. These hands-on activities will engage my students in exploring the science of plant growth and ecosystems, fostering their curiosity. By participating in these lessons, my students will be able to enhance their academic skills in science while also developing language proficiency. They will have the opportunity to practice essential reading and writing skills by creating journals to document plant growth, while also improving their listening and speaking abilities through group discussions and presentations about their observations.
Providing access to hands-on learning tools will not only cultivate their interest in environmental science, but will also support their social and academic growth.
By including language development with scientific inquiry, these lessons will encourage students to express themselves more effectively and confidently. Investing in these resources will create an engaging and inclusive learning environment that paves the way for academic success and deeper language acquisition.
