This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Students in my class are learning about classification and ecosystems. They need to understand the benefits of plants for food production as well as ways of keeping the environment healthy.

Hydroponic gardening is one way we can feed everyone in the future, students today need to understand how it works.

This project will allow them to experiment with Hydroponic gardening and answer their own student derived questions.

With the hydroponic garden and the window ledge garden, students will be able to compare plant growth in traditional systems and in hydroponic systems. They will have a real world connection between the topics in class and their personal plants.
