My Project

My students LOVE to plant things and watch them grow! Our biggest obstacle is not having enough light in our classroom to do this. In North Idaho the days are short and the sun does not even reach my northwest window in the darkest months. We need a plant stand and grow lights to keep the growing and the learning going year-round!

Growing plants is fun and educational, bringing meaning to learning about plant processes and structures.

However, the joy does not end there. The students will feel the joy of community service when they donate their plants to our next door neighbors- a pre-school, a nursing home, and the high school culinary program!
