This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Project

The items I am requesting will make a great difference in my students' learning by giving them the opportunity to apply what they were taught in science classes about plants' needs and caring for them.

My students will experience what it is like to eat something that they have actually grown and taken care of.

The majority of the students has never had their own garden. I would love to share this experience with them especially when we reach the preparation and eating of the vegetables that they grew.

Hopefully, this experience will make them want to have their parents make a vegetable garden at home.
