Planning for a Good School Year

My students need a lot of help organizing. In today's digital world they rely on their technology - but it only works if you set reminders. These planners will help them practice and manage time.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are amazing. Some of them live a lifetime each morning just on their walk in the city to school. And each day I am proud of them. If it is a silly chemistry joke that they tell because they now understand, or the private tears after school because of a family issue these kids show me how to improve myself on a regular basis.

It is hard to believe that these remarkable students have labels like EL, DL, homeless, ADHD, shy, diabetic, and the list goes on.

Really they are from working immigrant families that try their best, but because of one or many situations fall short.

I am so very proud of my students. I am proud of who they are and most importantly who they will become.

My Project

Planners can help all of my students, including my DL and EL students. These planners will allow my homeroom students to see how their time is divided and when long term assignments are due. They are students of a digital age, but they need to learn how to organize assignments, time and outside commitments. Once they have a grasp on the uses of a physical planner then they can transition to their digital planners. Plus, we don't allow personal cellular devices in class, so "old-school" is the way to go. Please help my disorganized students prepare for the year and beyond.
