Help me give my students a way to organize their assignments mindfully and intentionally with their own academic planner.

My Students
My students attend a Title I Chicago Public School, 95% of the student population come from low-income families. They are a lively, hard-working, diverse group of students; a large portion of them are English Language Learners speaking several different languages.
My students need basic school supplies to ensure an equal opportunity learning environment.
Most do not have the luxury of purchasing these supplies on their own. In my class, I don't want students to have to worry about what they do not have in order to reach their fullest potential.
My Project
My students struggle keeping up with their assignments and maintaining an organized schedule. My goal this year is to be able to teach my students the skills to be mindful of their assignments, homework, important dates, etc. With the planners, students would be able to record their spelling and vocabulary each week in order to take home and practice. They would also record any homework that is assigned for that day, along with upcoming tests or important dates to remember. For the parents, it would create an open line of communication for me to be able to speak with them, especially if they do not have working phone numbers or email addresses. I believe providing each student with an academic planner will provide them with essential life skills and the an opportunity to learn how to be independent.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
