My students need the chance to go on a field trip to the Clark Planetarium to reinforce the concepts they have learned in science this year.

My Students
Do you remember how exciting it was to go on field trips when you were a kid? Field trips not only create an excitement for learning, they can influence a student to pursue a career in that field.
I am a sixth grade teacher teaching at a Title One school in Utah.
I teach students who are learning English as a second language as well as English speaking students. My students are from a small rural area with a high poverty rate with the student population being largely Hispanic.
My Project
The project I am requesting is a field trip to the Clark Planetarium. This is an amazing resource in our state and is an opportunity the students will have to review concepts learned this year and to expand their knowledge of our universe. The date we have planned to go on the field trip is a week before the students take their end of school tests. The information and experiences they will gain at the planetarium will help them to succeed on their science test and help them to feel more prepared to take the test.
This field trip is a very important part of the students' learning experience.
They will gain valuable knowledge that will help them on their tests while giving them experiences that will shape their future careers. Without your valuable support a trip like this would be impossible for us to take. Please help us have this wonderful learning experience!
