My Students

I work at an amazing elementary school in Jacksonville, Florida. We are a Title I school that offers free lunch to 1100 students. I am a kindergarten teacher and have been at this school for 15 years. My students want to learn and make me proud!

My Project

I want my students to have a love of reading just like me. I am requesting new books to get my students interested in reading and to be able to send the books home for them to share with their families. The author study books will help introduce them to a new world of stories and the non-fiction books will help them see various items from the real world.

Students need to have books at home to continue learning, it doesn't just happen at school.

Thank you for allowing my students to continue their joy of reading at home and practice their reading strategies with their families.
