This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students do Everyday Calendar where they are continuoiusly learning and reviewing math standards. They work on days of the week, months of the year, flat and three-demensional shapes, money, counting, math symbols and finally place value. They learn place value by counting the number of days we have been in school. This in turn helps them learn place value. They are able to take the concept from abstract to concrete which is a system of learning that uses physical and visual aids to build their understanding of number sense.

When students are able to use a visual to understand the representation of a number, they will be able to solve addition problems.
