My Project

In this project, I requested a lot of camping materials that are important for a two-night camping trip for my Earth Science Class. My goal is to teach my students about astronomy, topography, earthquakes, volcanoes, and river systems in Hawaii. To do this, we would use the environment as a learning place such as Mauna Kea Summit, Mauna Loa Drive Trail, and Black Sand Beach on Hawaii Island.

These students are special because they are within the Mauna Kea Scholars Program.

Currently, our school has not had an Earth Science Class for the past few years, therefore there are not a lot of learning materials cumulated. This will be beneficial to the students as they need more outdoor experiences to learn about the course.
