My Project
My big picture goal for my students is to help them learn about their own identity and how they can use this identity to reflect on something they want to change in the world.
I want my students to engage with their own and each other’s cultural identities to understand their personal context for change.
I would like to do a small library that represents the students in my classroom. This also includes a gathering carpeted area. The students will engage and identify what makes them unique and loved. They will discuss differences as well as what we all have in common: the need for love and understanding.
We are never too young to learn about self-love, empathy, diversity and togetherness.
