it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Watching my Pre-kindergarten students' curiosity and growth throughout the year is a wonderful sight! It is their first school experience and they are always excited for the first day of school. I can't wait to see them growing and learning! My students begin as 4-year-olds and by the end of the year, they are ready for Kindergarten. My students do a lot of hands-on activities. This is why I chose these items. I want to give them a head start as well as give them the materials they need to thrive. Using these materials will help develop their fine motor skills and problem-solving skills. I hope to give each child their own set of materials for in-school and remote learning.
My Project
In the past, pre-kindergarten students shared all of the classroom materials. Since we are in different times, I have been thinking about my students' safety. There are a few materials in my classroom that I would not feel comfortable using this year, mainly our blocks and table toy centers. I hope through our class project and existing materials, I can give each student their own set of building and creative activities this year. With these items, I will be able to give each child a set of materials that will foster STEM, creativity, and never giving up. Since I am creating personalized activity bags, my students will be able to use these materials at school, home, or during Remote Learning days.
